BRAND BUILDING IS TRUST BUILDING.

Trust is at the heart of every satisfying relationship. The relationship between brands and consumers is no different. Trust is hard-earned. It is the result of making clear promises and keeping them over time. Trust is what is needed in order to earn a loyal following. What I can do is make sure that the promises your brand makes are clear and compelling. I can ensure that they don’t look and sound like everyone else’s. But what I can’t do is cover over a shotty product and poor service with the veneer of authenticity.

It all starts with a promise. The promise has to be clear in order to be heard. Feeble promises are never heard. They fail to motivate because they offer no compelling truth. I have a method of identifying what’s true about a brand. And then I hang a gi-normous promise on its back. A promise that will not only be heard, but remembered. Talked about. Preferred. When clear promises are made and kept, people are satisfied. And satisfied people stay loyal and committed.

IT BEGINS WITH CLEAR PROMISES.

Commercial transactions, however big or small, are all exercises in belief. People become willing to buy, precisely because they believe the promise made by the brand. But not every promise gets equal attention in the market place. A brand’s promise must compete against innumerable other promises. Each one is vying for the consumer’s attention and calling for belief. It takes significant talent, skill and expertise to package and present a brand’s promise in a way that’s strong and commands attention.

It touches every part of a company’s business, from the logo right down to the foam peanuts used to ship the order. Everything contributes to the overall perception of a brand. It’s all part of gaining and keeping an advantage over your competition. That’s the part I love: beating the competition.

So, let’s find a way. Drop me a line. Pull me in.
